Tour around Amsterdam+Dinner
On Tuesday, the 21st of April we will organize a dinner and a visit to Amsterdam city center. Both are voluntary and dinner and drinks are at your own costs. The visit includes a short tour of the Nieuwmarkt area of Amsterdam, the present “Chinatown” of Amsterdam and one of many places to go out in the city. It once played an important role as the official entrance into Amsterdam canal where boats were taxed and where mercenaries and dock workers resided. We will then continue the walk down the Ij River to the Easter Docklands where we will have a dinner in one of the restaurants (arrangements will be made prior to the PhD seminar). Following the dinner we will walk to the The Bimhuis for a free jazz session. You can apply for the dinner at the submission form.
